What is window film or tint ?

Window film or tint is a polyester coating that is applied to glass, that can be installed to the interior or exterior of glass surfaces in automobiles and boats and also to the interior or exterior of glass in homes and buildings.

Polyester film is produced from the polymer Polyethylene Terephthalate, or more commonly known as PET.

Many window film providers offer a warranty of up to 15 years for commercial installations and a lifetime warranty for homeowners. Depending on the film type, glass type, window construction, and the location, some professionally installed window films can last well past their warranties.
